The Road Assistance telephne number is available 24 hours a day. Depending on the problem the car may have and the location, you will assisted as soon as possible.
How long will it take until the road assistance arrive to the breakdown location?
Generally the time until the Road Assistance arrive to the breakdown place it is very short. However this will also depends on several factors and the times may change.
The main factor is the location of the customer is and the distance to the closest Victoria Rent a Car Office.
In any case, the Road Assistance Department will inform the customer the aproximate arrival time.
Will I get a replacement vehicle?
If the rental car you hae in the moment of the accident is not drivable any more, or the mechanical problem can not be solved in the act, you get a new car, minimum the same category. See Victoria Rent a Car hire fleet.
Under no circunstaces the vehicle will be changed if customer broke the key. You will be supplied with a copy of the key only. See Victoria Rent a Car FAQ for broken and lost keys.
How shall I act if the Municipality towed my rental car?
You will need to have your car hire rental agreement and the key of the vehicle.
First step to do is to identify the Police Station that lif your car. Normally you should have a sticker on the place where your car was parked with their contact details. In most of the cases you will first have to stop at the Police Station and pay the amounts asked for the service and only after that go to the deposit in order to collect your car.

The rental car do not start. What shall I do?
- Many of the manual cars only start if you press the clutch. Make sure you press it.
- If when you press the buttons on the key fob the car does not unlock, please use the key blade to open the car. The lock is normally situated in the drivers door. It is possible that the battery of the remote control is empty. In this case, once the car is opened, you can put the key in contact and will start normally
- For the cars with automatic transmission it is imperative the gear box is on the P position. Otherwise it is possible it will not start
- If there are no light on the boar computer and the car do not react when you put the key in contact it is possible that the battery of the car is empty. In this case you must contact Victoria Rent a Car Road Assistance and they will give you all details necessary to start it, or send you the Assistance Service.
How to act in case of a puncture?
All Victoria Rent a Car hire Fleet have a replacement tire or a repair kit, depending on the vehicle. You will also find all the tools necesary to replace the tire.
In case you have a puncture or tire explosion, you will have to change the wheel yourself or use the repair kit.
If you have booked your car with with fully comprehensive insurance, Premium Pack, the tire will be covered by the insurance. However, the change will have to be done by the customer. The Road Assistance is not included in the price, because you have all tools necessary to it in the act.
Once changed or replaces the tire you will have to come to any of Victoria Rent a Car Offices in order to change the vehicle for a new one.

How to act in case I lose the car key?
Under no circunstance any modality of insurance will cove the key of the vehicle. This is valid for lost key or damages.
If you have lost or damage the key and it is not working any more you must contact Victoria Rent a Car Road Assistance Department and they will give you all details for steps to follow.
It is very important you know that any expense related with the key will be on customer’s expense.
Glass breakage and theft of belongings. What does the insurance cover?
You hvae booked your car hire with fully comprehensive insurance, if someone broke the windows of our car, or damage the lock, customer will not be responsible for damages. This is included in the Insurance.
Under no circunstance the insurance policy will cover any of customer’s personal belongings.
How shall I act in case of an accident?
Having a car accident is much more common that it looks like.
If we had a small accident, without victims, only with material damages and vehicle is drivable, we will only have to fill and sign the friendly accident form we can find in the car. That of course if both parties agree with it. We will find the form in the glove compartment, next to the vest, that we will need to put and have it on all the time until we get back into the car.
In case the other party refuses to sign or you see they are trying to cheat you or you do not understand the procedure, you can call Victoria Rent a Car Customer Service Department and they will help you. It is mandatory the call to be done during the time when both vehicles are still at the accident place. You can also call the Emergency Service 112 and the police will guide you.
In in the even of a major accident with victims or big material damages and vehicle is no more drivable safely, you will first have to contact the authorities. The unique telephone number is 112. How to act in case of stolen vehicle?
You will have to contact the Police department of the village where the car has been stolen. They will first check if the vehicle has not be towed away by the minicipality for any reason. If is not the case you must file a complaint.
Immediatelly you will have to localize the key of the vehicle, contact Victoria Rent a Car Customer Service and inform.
In case you can not find the keys of the vehicle, or they have also been stolen, the entire cost of the car is customer’s full resposability. The Insurance policy will only cover if you are able to return the key.
In case you have booked your car hire with basic insurance and you return the key, you will be responsible up to the amount of the security deposit.
