Mirador de El Garbí

The landscapes that Valencia offers us are worth contemplating. We can mention thousands of places we can go, and, in this article, we will talk about the Mirador de El Garbí. Located in the Natural Park of the Sierra Calderona, between the towns of Segart and Náquera, this circular route, of less than 2 kilometers, is ideal for walking with the whole family, since it is suitable for all ages and it has few slopes that hinder the way.

Although the highest peak of the Sierra Calderona is 1012 meters high, the Mirador de El Garbí is about 600 meters away, but this does not prevent contemplating the imposing panoramic view of the Natural Park.

Worth a visit, the Mirador de El Garbí offers impressive postcards, ideal for taking photographs, but, above all, to enjoy the immensity that Valencian nature gives us.

If you stay until dusk, you will not be able to believe what your eyes see, because the sunset from above is incredible, but, be careful, since, on the way back, you must return by a dirt road.

How to get to The Viewpoint of El Garbí by car

To get to the Mirador de El Garbí by car, you must take the road, from Valencia, in the direction of Bétera, and then towards Náquera and Serra. From Serra, you can go on the VP-6044 road towards Torres Torres for 3 kilometers. There, a detour to Barraix will appear. Below the viewpoint, you can park your car to continue your adventure walking until you reach the viewpoint of El Garbí.

Also, you can take the CV-310 road if you go from Serra or Torres Torres. By this route, you must reach the top of the Oronet port, and then take the CV-334 road, which will take you directly to the parking lot of the viewpoint of El Garbí.

How to get to the Mirador de El Garbí on foot

Once you have parked your car in the parking lot next to the route, what you have to do to get to the viewpoint is to take the dirt road, where you can go to the Llosar, the viewpoint and the Hermitage of El Garbí. Next, you will find a house with a fence, and you just have to follow the indications, and, before reaching the viewpoint, you will find pine trees from the Sierra Calderona. This journey will take you about 15 minutes.

From there, you can see the Port of Sagunto, the Sierra de Irta, Oropesa and, if you go on a clear day, you can see, in the distance, the Columbretes Islands and the Albufera Natural Park. In addition, you can contemplate the Mola de Segart, the Gulf of Valencia and those cut in a reddish hue of El Garbí.

You have already arrived at the Mirador de El Garbí, now you just have to relax, sit on its rocks, breathe fresh air and connect with nature, away from the noises of the city, disconnected from technology (although it is worth taking your camera for a while to take pictures) and enjoy the immensity of this panoramic landscape for as long as you want.

When you return, take the road that goes to l’Ermita de la Santa Cruz, or Ermita de El Garbí. There, you can take a few minutes to rest and enjoy, either alone or with family or friends, a picnic area, ideal to stop for a snack under the shade.

For hiking fans

Hiking fans who visit the Mirador de El Garbí to enjoy a long walk of more than 2 kilometers that are usually done by those who go for a walk, will be able to access a circular excursion of up to eight kilometers. The route for hikers begins in the town of Segart, mixing the GR10 by the Canal, crossing the climb to les Penyes de El Garbí.

The route of 8 kilometers, and 450 meters high, can be done in approximately three and a half hours, depending on the speed of the hiker, and its stops to contemplate the view. Undoubtedly, the Mirador de El Garbí is one of the most beautiful places in Valencia

First expressions are everything. Honest Service. Rented for a week from calp office . There was no hidden rip off fees which most tourists get stung by. Staff were friendly and made all clear . Even were good enough to drop car to hotel I was staying at (and picked up from) that saved me wasting any precious holiday time. Would reccomend and I'm sure i will use again. Thank you. ;) A

I've been renting cars in Spain for years and Victoria Cars has been the best experience...Reasonable prices, reliable cars, no rip off rental tricks as petrol is full to full, minimum time from entering office to driving off. Wish the whole industry learnt from the Victoria Cars service.
