The month of May is ending, the temperature is starting to rise and days are getting longer. Whether you live in the Marina Alta or are here on holiday, what you want to do is get out and enjoy the countless coves and beaches.<\/p>\n

How can I go?<\/h2>\n

It will depend on where you live or where you want to go. If you live in a coastal town, such as Calpe<\/a>, J\u00e1vea, Altea<\/a> or Benidorm<\/strong> you can even go on foot. However, our recommendation is always to try to discover as many beaches as possible, so you will have to take the car or the motorbike.<\/p>\n

Where is Marina Alta located?<\/h2>\n

\"MarinaIs a region that forms part of the province of Alicante, located in the north. It starts on the border with the province of Valencia, in the city of Denia<\/strong><\/a> and goes to the Mascarat Tunnels, in Calpe. Inland, it includes towns such as Pego, Sagra, Orba, Castell de Castells, Parcent, Jal\u00f3n, Benissa and Teulada, among others.<\/p>\n

What beaches can I see in the Marina Alta?<\/h2>\n

Les Deveses Beach<\/h4>\n

It is a natural sand beach, which has an extension of almost 3 kilometers long. The access is via the Les Marines<\/strong> road. You can find a large number of bars, restaurants and beach bars, open mainly during the summer season.
\nThe Red Cross lifeguard service and police patrols, who watch over the safety of tourists.<\/p>\n

Playa dels Molins<\/h4>\n

Like Les Deveses beach, it is also natural sand and has a large area. It offers a hammock and parasol rental service and has areas equipped for the practice of various beach sports.<\/p>\n

Les Marines Beach<\/h4>\n

It is one of the best known and most frequented in Denia, given its location near the Port of Denia<\/strong> and the town centre.
\nBesides enjoying its fine sand and sea water, we will have views of the Castle of Denia<\/strong>. Around it we will find a great variety of restaurants, most of them specialized in the Valencian gastronomy.
\nIn addition to the most famous beaches, Denia has others, such as the Marineta Casiana, the Playa de les Rotes or Platja de les Arenetes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Muntanyar Beach<\/h4>\n

Leaving Denia, we approach Javea, where we can find very close to the Port the beach of Muntanyar, also known as Playa del Benissero<\/strong>. It is a beach of gravel and rocks located at the mouth of the Gorgos River.<\/p>\n

Arenal Beach<\/h4>\n

\"ArenalWithout a doubt the busiest beach in J\u00e1vea. A wide beach, with fine sand that forms a shell. Its calm waters, with few waves, a very well maintained promenade and all kinds of restaurants, bars, cafes and chiringuitos make it very popular with people from all over the region.<\/p>\n

El Portet Beach<\/h4>\n

This beach is located in the northern part of Moraira<\/a><\/strong> and is a very quiet beach of fine sand. If we don’t go for a swim, we can enjoy a drink or even a meal in the restaurant on the front line.<\/p>\n

l’Ampolla Beach<\/h4>\n

This is the main beach of the village of Moraira, with fine sand. It has a large parking very close by and although in summer it is usually very busy it is quite likely that we will find a parking space easily. Around it we will be able to find a wide range of bars and restaurant for all the tastes.<\/p>\n

La Fustera Beach<\/h4>\n

It is a sandy beach, with very good access both by car and on foot and belongs to the municipality of Benissa. There are several parking spaces<\/a> in the surrounding area. You can find a terrace on the promenade, where you can enjoy a drink without leaving the beach<\/p>\n

La Fossa Beach<\/h4>\n

\"LaLocated in Calpe, is a beach of fine sand, natural, and is one of the most visited of the Costa Blanca<\/strong> during the summer. It is almost 1 km long and on the promenade you will find a multitude of all kinds of shops. Counts with a very easy access, and different parkings around, although in summer it can cost to us to find a parking.<\/p>\n

It is the closest beach to the old town of Calpe, with fine sand and more than 1 km long. A long promenade, where we can find a variety of restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours.<\/p>\n

Visit coves in the Marina Alta<\/h2>\n

\nIn the Marina Alta, given its geographical configuration, we can find a very high number of coves. Reaching many of them can be quite difficult, so sometimes it is advisable to avoid the car.

Renting a motorbike in Calpe<\/a> can be a very good option if you don’t have one. If you are 1 or 2 people, you can get lost on the roads near the sea and discover many of the coves in the Marina Alta.<\/p>\n
